iNDustry Labs faculty director joins Conexus Indiana Board of Directors

Tom Fuja, faculty director of iNDustry Labs and professor of electrical engineering, has been appointed to the board of directors for Conexus Indiana, an initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP), a non-profit organization that seeks to position Indiana as the best place for advanced manufacturing and logistics industries to invest, employ and succeed.

Fuja joins Teresa van Niekerk, vice president of Purchasing and Supplier Quality for Allison Transmission and Teresa Wade, founder and owner of CFA Staffing as newly appointed members to the 19-member board. 

As faculty director of iNDustry Labs, Fuja plays a vital role in the University of Notre Dame’s collaboration with local industry partners as they seek to thrive in the digital age of manufacturing. Prior to his current role, Fuja spent 12 years as the chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering and two years as the Interim Dean of the College of Engineering. He received Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and M.Eng and a Ph.D., both in Electrical Engineering, from Cornell University.
